A snake inspired by Chinese designs for 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake. Frame shown here is red for a Lunar New Year celebration, but is also available in green—please indicate your preference or contact me with questions.
Carved by hand with a chip-carving knife and finished with shellac. The frame is also hand-carved before finishing with milk paint and walnut oil. Measures 5×5 inches (roughly 6×6 framed).
