Between Heaven and Earth (6x8)
A pair of hummingbirds feed among vined flowers. The design is inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch folk art, but the hummingbirds are a summer sight in my own garden.
Carved by hand with a chip-carving knife and finished with shellac. The frame is also hand-carved before finishing with milk paint and walnut oil. Measures 6×8 inches (roughly 7×9 framed).
