Company Bench
So called, obviously, because I built it to accommodate company. When not in use for seating it functions as a second coffee table. Octagonal legs and an arched underbevel; this is the great-granddaddy of the footstool. The seat is red grandis, a highly sustainable plantation-grown eucalyptus with a pinkish color that won’t dull with age; the legs are ebonized white oak. A simple form with a lot of visual and textural interest.
